Can you introduce yourself for those who may not have come across your page on Instagram?

Hi all. I am Cedric, @cedoceltic on Instragram. I am a French Swiss living in Luxembourg City. I'm 41 years old, married and have a 6 years old boy named Adam.

When did you start your Instagram page and what did you expect when you first started posting menswear looks?

Honestly, I had no expectations at all except learning how to make Instagram work for me and connect with others. I used to work in Digital agencies and therefore I was very connected to new technologies but since leaving the industry I have less opportunities. So initially it was really about understanding how Instagram works and how to influence the algorithm to get more visibility. At the same time I was starting to read a lot of menswear blogs, which I thought would be a great subject and also be a good opportunity to get feedbacks on my outfits. I was really not expecting what happened, it grew quite fast, up to 15K followers in a bit more than 2 years. Over those 2 years I have received quite a lot of messages from people being thankful for my page and influencing their style, it keeps pushing me to continue.

Has clothing and style always meant a lot to you?

I have always paid attention to the way I dress but would say I've only found my style recently. If I look back I had some years of streetwear, casual chic and slim fits but now I'd say it’s more a mix of streetwear and heritage influences with some loose fits. I put my style on hold after the birth of my son, it was just not my priority at the time, but as I was approaching 40, I started to question my 'dad style' and made a commitment. From this point on I became passionate about fashion and learning about styling looks. I read a lot of blogs, books and every source of information I could find really. I have to mention two blogs here that really influenced me. The first one was Bonnegueule. Their style was not really what I was looking for but I learnt a lot about fabrics and colours. In one newsletter they featured a cargo pant look that I liked and after investigating a bit further I realised it was a blogger called @borasification. I've been hooked on his outfits and blog ever since. Without doubt it's his blog which influenced me the most.

For people who've never been to Luxembourg City have you got any recommendations to explore the city?

I have to say when I was offered a role in Luxembourg I wasn't really attracted by the City. I was imagining a modern city with glass towers, banks and insurance companies everywhere, and the European parliament in the middle. After a little research I realised it's completely different. Luxembourg is very charming, an old City with a fascinating history, part of the UNESCO patrimony. Walking in the street to see the architecture and the Vauban walls, visiting the Casemates (a fortress built in the rock) are definitely a must. What I love is that the nature is very present into the City; rivers, parks, a lot of trees and all five minute from where I live. I can walk in the forest and, if you have the urge, go canoeing!

How did you first come across Admiral Sporting Goods Co.?

I came across Admiral Sporting Goods on the Borasification blog. Boras, now a friend, wrote an article on the brand and was presenting outfits with two of your sweaters. Sweaters and hoodies are for me wardrobe essentials. I saw the small details added to the products that you'd expect find on premium brands such as The Real Mccoy but for an affordable price.

What do you like most about the ASGco. pieces you've picked up? Anything you’re looking to get pick-up soon?

I have two of your products so far. A Wigston Sweatshirt in Condor grey and a Braunstone Hoodie in Pondicherry Red. What I like the most are the heritage vibes. The designs are timeless, it’s modern but could also be from the 50’s. As soon as I got the first ASGco piece I was fascinated by the quality of the fabrics and the subtle colours.

What are you following on Instagram at the moment? Do you have any favourite fashion influencers?

After 3 years of following, even if my own style has progressed, I'm still impressed by Borasification and his ability to renew his style whilst keeping his own identity. Yuthanan is also definitely a genius. It’s not exactly what I would wear but it pushes me to take more risks and play a bit more with layers. The first two are French and I’ll finish with another French influencer, morgan_brother. Probably not as famous as the two previous but every time he posts something this is an instant like and repost for me!

When you’re not putting together fits for your Instagram, what other things do you get up to?

I try to limit Instagram to 15 mins a day. When I am not working or spending time with my family, I like to practice cross-fit and martial arts, play video games (Yes, I am a true geek!) and read Mangas or Comics. Also I'm currently using my spare time to learn a new languages, I'm currently into Italian at the moment so you might be reading a blog in the future with me in front of Rome's Colosseum or the Duomo di Milano.
