Kaiser Chiefs Easy Eighth Album Football Kit

With nearly twenty years in the industry, and armed with an extensive repertoire of stadium anthems, Leeds fans Kaiser Chiefs make a return with their latest studio offering, fittingly titled "Kaiser Chiefs' Easy Eighth Album,". To coincide with the anticipated release, Admiral were tasked to design a football shirt that celebrates the band's return to the charts, in the iconic colours of Leeds United of course.

The Album & Artwork

The long awaited eighth Album of the Kaiser Chiefs has arrived, the aptly titled ‘Easy Eighth Album’. Produced by Amir Amor (Rudimental), the album sees the Kaiser Chiefs return with a fresh and bold new sound.

From the Nile Rodgers co-write of the latest single 'Feeling Alright' to the energetic 'Beautiful Girl' and the horn-filled Kaiser Chiefs throwback 'Job Centre Shuffle', the ten track album is a true statement of intent from a band that continues to deliver the goods.

The project's artwork was expertly crafted by comedy royalty Jim Moir, aka Vic Reeves, who has seamlessly transitioned his talents into the realm of art. The captivating '8' graphic, proudly displayed on the album cover, served as the cornerstone for the new Admiral football kit design.

The Admiral Kit

When you’re tasked with collaborating with avid Leeds United supporters Kaiser Chiefs on a new football shirt, there's a singular colour scheme that immediately springs to mind: white, blue and yellow, paying homage to the band's roots in the city. Using white as the main body colour, the football shirt incorporates secondary accents on the collar, cuffs, and Admiral taping along the arms, a nod to the 1978 Leeds United kit - a significant year for the band coinciding with Kaiser's frontman Ricky Wilson's birth.

The design of the new album and its captivating album artwork were integrated into the kit via the crest and also serving as the number printing on the back. A subtle '8' motif intertwines throughout the shirt, enhancing the fabric with a sublimated pattern which adds texture to the material. Completing the design, the band's name takes centre stage as the primary sponsor, while the iconic Admiral logo graces the right chest.

The new kit and album are available from the official Kaiser Chiefs store.
